Cool Engineering Projects
complete with reflected practice
The following are links to
examples of educator-created web pages including
robotics, digital video and reflective
practice. They were developed during Pepperdine University Online Master of
Arts in Educational
Technology "VirtCamps."
Each team of three mid-career
professionals were asked to invent a robot, program
it, note the their own learning and that of their teammates and publish the
results of this reflective practice on the World
Wide Web, complete with digital photos
and edited digital video. This computationally-rich project is designed to
demonstrate constructionism
and learning in a community of practice where expertise is decentralized.
Dozens of projects like the ones below have been
completed in approximately 10 contact
hours.

activity designed by Gary Stager.
